How To Create An HDR Image Using Simple Photoshop Layering
Most of today’s latest and greatest cameras have incredible amounts of dynamic range, however that doesn’t mean you should just go blasting away at your shadows with recovery sliders and brushes. The best image quality from a camera still comes from proper exposures. So if you have a scene that is almost manageable within a single capture, but you’d still like to reduce noise in shadow areas or improve your highlight preservation, you can do so without having to set up more than just two photos with separate exposures.
Canon RAW Image Size and Dynamic Range Comparison
Question: Are all RAW image qualities and file sizes created equal? As a Nikon user, I’ve asked myself this question a few times over the years now because there are all kinds of RAW compression options. But on Canon DSLRs there is something different these days, there is mRAW.

Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L Mark 1 VS Canon 24-70 f/2.8 L Mark 2 – Portraiture Comparison
When Canon announced that they would be charging a whopping $2300 for the mk2 version of their 24-70 f/2.8 L lens, and that it would not contain image stabilization, most Canon users were mighty perplexed. It didn’t help that Tamron had just announced a stabilized 24-70 f/2.8 the day before Canon’s official press release. Kind of a slap in the face for many people who were expecting stabilization especially for such a high price. Also, the previous version of Canon’s 24-70 f/2.8 was no slouch, really. It wasn’t perfect, but then again you could find one used for $1250!
