There are so many wedding photographers who don’t offer wall art collections or cards because they don’t have an elegant way to show their clients these options. If you count yourself among them, you should realize that not making these options available to your clients can impact your photography business in two ways. First, you’re leaving money on the table for work you’ve already created, and you’re also delivering a less fulfilling experience to your clients. There’s nothing like preserving and revisiting your memories in print. Luckily, offering prints to your clients and boosting your sales is easier than you might think, especially with the right software. The new Design Proofer from Fundy Designer is a game changer that allows you to simplify print sales for albums, wall art, and cards.

Scott Johnson, a FujiFilm ambassador and Fundy Storyteller, recently shared his insight on how photographers can get the most out of the new Fundy Design Proofer. He has advice for both photographers doing in-person sales (or over-zoom sales) and those that work through email or messaging.

Not Doing IPS?

If you are a photographer that doesn’t do in-person design consultations (or over Zoom), the new proofer gives you the ability to design big albums, matching wall art collections, and “thank you” or “save-the-date” cards and show them off all in one place.

Most likely, you’re already designing albums. If you take a few more minutes to design wall collages and cards, you can use the new proofer to quickly add those in just a few clicks alongside the album design and share it all with one easy link. You’ll sell more without having to re-tool your business.

Doing IPS?

If you do in-person sales (actually in-person or over zoom), you can try my technique.

proof agreement

Anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days before a client’s consultation, I send them a proofing link so they can start falling in love with the designs I’ve created. Don’t send them the link too far in advance as they’ll start picking the designs apart. If you time it just right, they’ll fall in love with the designs and your design consultation will take less time and be more profitable.

Connect with Slideshows

Among other innovative features that help simplify print sales, this software allows you to add in an online slideshow with a built-in design set to music, which helps your clients reconnect all the emotion of the event(s) and fall even more in love with their images. The more they fall in love with their images, the more likely they’ll purchase albums, wall art, and cards.

Use the Proofer as Order Confirmation

When selling pre-designed, printed products, you risk the chance of clients not loving their printed products. This problem can prove costly in terms of both finances and client satisfaction. With a proper approved design, you can avoid having to reprint any of the products you offer. The Design Proofer can serve as an agreement confirmation as to exactly what is being printed. So, even if you are doing IPS, upload the final design that the clients paid for to the proofer so there is a visual record of what was ordered.

Conclusion

I know we use this phrase too often in society today, but this new proofer really is a game-changer! It’s the best way I’ve found to simplify print sales and show your clients big-ticket items in one spot online. When your clients see how their images will look in print, they’ll be able to “see” why prints are important. Just add in the personal connection that you have with the clients to close the sale and your revenues will go up.
