Adobe Camera Raw Preset System V5.1 Now Available!

By Matthew Saville on October 1st 2013

Update – 04/11/2018:

Our most recent Lightroom Preset System has now been updated to be fully compatible with Adobe Lightroom CC 7.3!

However, in light of the recent update, we will no longer be selling the Adobe Camera Raw Presets for CC or any of its previous versions. You can still achieve the same look of the ACR Presets with our Lightroom Preset System.

Please email us at help@slrlounge.com if you have any questions about the new update and to learn more about the preset fix and how it affects the ACR Presets, check out this article here.

After updating our highly acclaimed SLR Lounge Preset System from Lightroom 4 to Lightroom 5, the same awesome new system is now available for Adobe Camera Raw Creative Cloud!  Like The SLR Lounge Preset System v5.1 of course, these new Camera Raw Presets are compatible with both Adobe Creative Cloud and CS6, but not CS5 or older.

These presets are used in Adobe Bridge and the Camera Raw interface of Adobe Photoshop. Once again, we have painstakingly converted the SLR Lounge Preset system to be compatible with the universal Camera Raw interface.  Now, anyone who uses Bridge CC / CS6 and Photoshop CC / CS6 can have the preset system at their fingertips!

Features of the Adobe Camera Raw Presets

The SLR Lounge Preset System for Adobe Camera Raw V5.1 is a collection of 308 Presets including 275 Develop Presets, 27 Brush Presets, and a set of six video tutorials (seen here) to teach you how to get the most from this powerful system!

We are confident that this is by far the best Adobe Camera Raw Preset System available. It is designed to not only be powerful enough to create any effect, but also intuitive enough to achieve them in just a few clicks saving you boat loads of time!

What’s New in the Camera Raw Presets v5.1?

We have added 95 new presets in the Camera Raw Preset System v5.1 to reach 308 total presets including 275 Develop Presets and 30 Brush Presets. Along with nearly 100 new presets, we have revamped all of the existing presets to improve image tonality and quality.

We’ve also created a full set of video tutorials, included in your purchase, to teach you how to maximize the presets. From installation to creating diverse and amazing effects, these comprehensive yet concise videos will walk you through the process.

Intuitive Naming for Camera Raw Presets

Gone are the days of presets with “cool” but unhelpful names where you have to memorize the effect to know what the preset does. The Camera Raw Preset System uses simple and descriptive names, in a logical organization and and processing format that makes it a snap to learn and a breeze to process images.

The Camera Raw Presets are organized into four sections:  Bases, (foundations) Curves, Adjustments, and Special Effects.  Features and functionality include:

  • Basic Color Correction
  • Faux HDR Processing
  • Vintage Fades and Washes
  • Black and White and Antique Effects
  • Tilt Shift and Toy Camera Special Effects
  • Detail Enhancing
  • Portrait Retouching

This means that effects that would take minutes to apply manually to your images can now be accomplished in just a matter of seconds. In addition, with the Camera Raw Preset System’s library of Curves, Adjustment, Colors and Special FX, users can quickly apply and test several different “looks” to an image in just a few moments.

ACR Presets for All Types of Photographers

Whether you are a photojournalist, landscape photographer, portrait photographer, wedding photographer, or anything in-between, the Camera Raw Preset Systems approach to RAW developing not only speeds up a workflow, it also puts an unlimited variety of creative options at your fingertips.

Continual Education and Community Support around ACR Presets

Stay tuned on SLR Lounge because we will be uploading tons of great tutorials using the Preset System for both Adobe Bridge and Lightroom!  We believe that both of these programs are extremely powerful and have a helpful place in your overall workflow.  We know that some photographers use one program or the other exclusively, however, we find ourselves using them side by side constantly for various purposes.
