Each year hundreds of thousands of women are diagnosed with breast cancer – the second most deadly cancer among women after lung cancer. Chances are, you know someone who has it or has had it. In this case, two sisters were diagnosed with breast cancer and have battled through the long and painful journey. Together.

Sisters Suzie and Annie both are breast cancer survivors. They have each had one breast removed and later this month, Annie will undergo surgery to have the other one removed as well. Throughout this ordeal, the sisters, who were already close in their sisterly bond, are now bonded as women who have survived breast cancer and have supported someone close to them through the battle.

Suzie contacted Amanda Long of Amanda [Photographic] for a very special photo shoot to document their stories and capture a glimpse of their incredible love, strength and celebration – just this week, one of the sisters had a cancer free at the last doctor’s appointment!
