Highlights from WPPI 2014
Pye, Hanssie, and I were on the ground for WPPI 2014 in Las Vegas this week and we had a great time. Due to some technical difficulties, I was not able to post about the show while in Vegas like I had planned, so I wanted to do a quick recap of what I saw and things that stood out at this year’s show!
ShootProof Releases New Lightroom Plugin
The new ShootProof Lightroom plugin is a Publish Service, which means that now you can update and manage your events and albums directly from Lightroom without ever having to log into ShootProof to add or remove images from a gallery. This is such a huge update over the old plugin which only allowed you to upload images to Shootproof one way. You can get the new plugin here, but make sure you delete the old plugin first or you will have issues.
ShootProof Revamps Client Gallery View
ShootProof announced earlier today that they have “refreshed” the client gallery view. This brings the client gallery view more in line with popular galleries around the web. The new layout is fully responsive and mobile friendly, which is great news for those of us who promote our services via social media (where many people view links via a mobile device).
Why I Chose ShootProof for my Online Proofing Needs
There are many online proofing websites out there, two of the most popular being SmugMug and Zenfolio. After trying out both of the above mentioned websites I decided to keep looking. Not being one to bash things, I will not talk about those sites other than to say that they simply were not what I was looking for.
