Must-Have Bridal Portraits
We are going to take every bit of guidance we have given you in regards to posing and composition and apply them to our bridal portraits. Although having a set list of shots sometimes strips away the creativity of a photograph, wedding photography calls for a soft guideline to follow in order to get shots your clients want. Typically, bridal portraits consist of the following shots:
- 1. Details (face, lashes, hair, bouquet, shoes, etc.)
- 2. 3/4 Standard Portrait
- 3. Front full length with veil
- 4. Back full length with veil
- 5. Veil/dress pull
While photographing the wider portraits, especially the ones that show off the dress and veil, it is imperative to focus on the details and make sure that everything looks as it is supposed to.

i see that you shoot a lot with 1.4 aperture. I have a nikon d750 and 35-50-85mm 1.4 nikon lens but i’m pretty scared to shoot at that aperture :D for a 3/4 standard portrait and full length, where is your focus point at f1.4? On her eyes?
