Wedding Workshop Seven | Photographing Group Portraits: Motion-Driven Concepts
Not every shot has to be (or should be) static. Introduce motion for interest. We’ve included an example of a groom and his groomsmen standing in a straight line before cueing the groomsmen to move closer and closer to the camera/photographer, creating a sequence of images that can be shared as a GIF or featured side by side in an album spread.
Other ideas include petal tosses with the bridesmaids, or celebrating with bouquets, etc. Shoot the sequence and think of the action unfolding as a series of images in a flipbook.
