Sometimes, during wedding ceremonies, for example, we cannot control the mixed lighting in a room. We can, however, work around it by using flash and gels whenever possible. In a worst case scenario, when we are unable to make adjustments in camera, we can still make everything better in post. Split-toning will help greatly in this situation and add warming over the highlights and the shadows. Next, making HSL (Hue, Saturation, Luminance) adjustments will allow you to reduce the blues from the natural light that is mixing with the tungsten light. Mixed lighting problems can still be fixed in just a couple clicks so long as you know exactly where to go in post.
