Medium Length Bridal Portraits

Many times photographers work into a pose and then rather than switching angles or lenses, they switch the pose too quickly. We tend to get so wrapped up in shooting that we forget that little variations in posing can change the entire dynamic of an image.

Get different emotions that will provide variety. Sticking your subject in a single pose and then not offering enough guidance will end up coming across as stiff. As wedding photographers, we tend to have to wear many hats throughout the day since we work with the bride and groom from start to finish, and being a director is just one of many roles we must take on. We cover an idea called “assisted photojournalism” in our latest webinar meant to help photographers direct a scene and let the action play out naturally with just enough guidance to capture candid reactions.
