Foundation posing centers around feet position and extends to micro details for variation. Here are the basic foundation poses:
- V-up (hinge): The couple, or centerpiece, hinges while the remaining group members mirror the direction/angle of the person in front of them (see image above).
- Closed: The couple faces one another
- Open: The subject’s chest and feet face the camera
- Stacked (occasionally): the bride will slightly overlap the groom
Regardless of the pose you choose, be sure the group is lined up on the same plane (or close to it) so that each group member will remain in focus. As groups start to curve or create too many layers, more of the members will fall out of focus.
