Couture/Editorial Bridal Party Portraits
Studying fashion magazines and photographers is truly what will give you the needed understanding behind the complexity of creating group editorial portraits. With multiple subjects and often uninteresting backgrounds, it can be hard to find the right pose and requires a constant alteration to perfect the pose.
When it comes to editorial portraits posing, your greatest challenge is going to be getting balance in a shot, not symmetry. This is where you are going to spend the majority of your time, setting up the balance and points of connection within the shot. This specific type of shot isn’t meant for every bridal party, some are a bit more serious than others and may have more interest in fashion photography and therefore will request it. The worst thing you could do is force a group of subjects to pretend to be serious if its not necessarily what they are about.

How do you get a shot at 1.4 so tack sharp? I can’t get group images sharp like that at F3.5
