Chapter 5 Exercise: Understanding Modifiers

This exercise is based on the previous video with the following slide:

Exercise

Take a white or translucent object not meant to be used for photographic purposes and put it over your flash. The object can be a napkin, lampshade, or anything else that the flash can shoot through. Hypothesize how you think the modifier will affect your light. Take your shot. Was your hypothesis correct? Play around until you get the desired diffusion effect.

This exercise does not require an image submission.
