Case Study #1: Get Out of Your Own Head

It is a great idea to take a step back every once in awhile and get out of your own head. In other words, if you own and know how to use a variety of gear, from strobes to special effects items like prisms and LED strings, remember that you don’t need to use everything you have with you. When we focus more on the gear we have and what we could do with it, we often times give up better shots. Instead, when you enter a scene, take your time and think about how you can place and pose your clients to produce the best pictures for that telling the story at that location. It is better to walk away from a scene with ten quality images than fifty so-so images.
