Before You Take A Single Shot
Before you take a single shot, we recommend you do the following:
- Put your camera down
- Walk the scene
- Analyze the angles
- Use phone/directors loupe (Artemis)
Often times, photographers will walk into a scene and just start taking pictures. Just as often, it is a better idea to slow down and plan out your angles, even when you’re short on time; you’ll just have less time to plan. It’s worth it to try to find the best angle before shooting so that you don’t see the ideal angle later and realize too late that you didn’t capture the details the best way possible.
