Bad Prep Room? Avoid it!

In this chapter we will give you ideas and examples from real weddings to get a better understanding of what to avoid and how to prepare for situations that may arise.

We are dealt a random set of cards and forced to play our hand, and in this case the “bad” cards are uninteresting hotel rooms with mixed lighting and limited space. Your first option as a photographer is to avoid the space entirely and look for an alternative background. Most likely, a hotel will have clean backgrounds to shoot against it just takes a bit of prep and location scouting to get it right.
