The sun has set and our ambient light is quickly fading, so what do we do to compensate for the light loss? Why, add in our handy dandy pocket strobes, of course! We place our subjects so that the sun is still giving them the same back-lit effect while using three Phottix Mitros+ Flash Strobes to illuminate them from the front. This technique is used when you desire a more dramatic ambient exposure in your image. This chapter is the perfect example of how necessary trial and error is when it comes to creating art – you will never know what works for the image unless you test and perfect it.
