Cinema glass is expensive. Prohibitively expensive for most of us. You can rent them, but even to rent cinema glass, you need to have pretty deep pockets. Veydra is looking to change that with their new Mini-Prime Cinema glass.
The mini-primes are for M 4/3 sensors, so Veydra is really targeting the GH4 crowd here, and they have come out with a really impressive offering. The guys over at The Camera Store TV just released their full video review of the new Veydra mini-primes and compared them lightly to expensive Sony Cinema glass. Check it out below.
I was impressed with what I saw from the Veydra mini-primes, and just like Jordan and Chris, I can’t wait for them to come out with some Sony E-mount versions. Veydra is sort of looking like the ‘Sigma’ of cinema glass, offering impressive products at a fraction of the cost of everyone else. It will be interesting to see where they go from here.
What are your thoughts on the Veydra Mini-Primes? If you are a GH4 or M 4/3 shooter, are you thinking about adding them to your kit? Leave a comment below and let us know what you think!
