Welcome to Time Out with Tanya, where I’ve put my fast paced graphic design career on hold in favor of adventures in motherhood. I’m capturing every moment on camera and you can come along, if you’d like. Sign up for my weekly email here so you’ll never miss a Time Out.
I’m not one to go ga-ga over any celebrity. Seriously, I lived in Hollywood for a year and brushed shoulders with “stars” and didn’t even know I was in the presence of anyone famous… I’m kind of indifferent and naive like that. Or maybe I just see everyone for who they are; human, just like me. Anyway, if I could meet one “celebrity” photographer, it would be the Queen of Glamour Portraiture herself, Sue Bryce.
Sue just exudes loving kindness and I want to be her friend. Doesn’t everybody? Perhaps this is why she’s so good at creating amazingly, authentic, and beautiful portraits of women of all shapes, and sizes from all walks of life. Olay couldn’t have picked a better advocate and partner for their Olay Best Beautiful Stories campaign than Sue, in my opinion.
Sue Bryce has met and photographed thousands of women during her 25 year career as a portrait artist. She says, “Beauty is not a competition. All women want, is to be the best version of themselves.”
I’m soooooo excited and thrilled to get to meet Sue this fall at ‘Click Away‘ in Salt Lake City! In fact, I’ll be interviewing her next month for a sneak peek article about her Click Away workshops, right here at SLR Lounge. Sue’s signature natural light portraits, infused with texture and richness, have literally started a movement. I can always tell when someone has studied her style, and there are few who have mastered it, actually. There’s just something about a Sue Bryce portrait that is special…
P.S. If you haven’t seen Sue’s latest personal project, recreating famous Hollywood Glam portraits from the past, you should check it out! Read all about it here: QUEEN OF GLAMOUR PORTRAITURE SUE BRYCE RECREATES ICONIC HOLLYWOOD IMAGES
