The camera specs look nice. The press release makes you think it’ll be the best camera in the universe so I’ll be waiting for official reviews ;)
Although I’m pretty sure it’ll be well received.
The lens seems nice too, a couple hundreds $$ more than Canon’s EF 70-200 f/4L IS USM but so are many other Sony lenses :(
Still, the lack of lens selection and lack of features (even simple stuff like Auto ISO in M mode) makes me want to move to another brand (I’m a beginner shooting with NEX 5N).
I’m looking for a nice not-too-big travel lens like Canon’s 18-135 IS STM (or Nikon’s 18-140 VR) but my only option is Sony’s 900$ 18-200. For the same price I can have both a T5i + 18-135 IS STM. Not sure I want to pay a thousand bucks on a lens that isn’t bad but isn’t great at anything either. Plus, I don’t need that much range either, the 18-135 is just perfect for me.
So I’ll see in the next couple of months how the lens selection (and flashes) turns out but right now I’m almost off the Sony wagon.
