If you are – I know a lot of you are – patiently waiting for official word on the Sony A7s pricing then this little rumor may interest you. According to a report over on Mirrorless Rumors, Sony’s A7s will come in at a very affordable $1800.
[REWIND: Sony Announces New A7s]
Unfortunately, that is as much detail as the report states, just that one of their trusted sources has said the price will be around $1800. This is a good price, comparable to its chief rival in the Panasonic GH4. According to the MR report, the official announcement will be made on May 7th.

I wish it would only be $1800 but with the A7r at $2300 I have a feeling it will be more like $2800-3200 since it has no competition with its ISO performance plus it can shoot 4K. But even at $3200 it will be worth it.
This would have no rival. FF vs 4/3 is a joke!
I could see Sony getting away with charging $1700-$2200 for this. Considering that it would make one heck of an ultimate night timelapse / astro-landscape photography camera body, I’d definitely go for it at that range.
