How Would Soccer Look If Cameramen Were Allowed To Go On The Field?

By Paul Faecks on September 14th 2014

Have you ever wondered how football (or soccer, for you manly Americans) would look like if cameramen were allowed to get VERY close to the action? In this hilarious commercial by CANAL+ France, you can watch how sporty photo – and video journalists run over the court chasing football stars to get some good shots of them. We figured this would be a great way to end your weekend and usher Monday in with a smile…

What is done by telephoto lenses, remote cameras and cranes, in reality, is achieved by hard work from every single cameraman in CANAL+`s commercial.

 Thoughts

I think it would actually be pretty interesting to see how the shots looked like if such kind of “engagement” by the journalists was allowed. I mean, wouldn’t it be kinda awesome to see shots like that when watching football the next time? Of course, the field would run amuck with people, the game would last much longer and more people would get injured…but it’s all for the ‘perfect shot,’ right?

In our commercial flooded world, the usual commercials just don’t do the job anymore. It’s becoming increasingly hard for advertisers to really stand out from the masses. Using humor is one of the best and most memorable ways to capture a jaded audience and CANAL+’s commercial is one that really stands out from the crowd. What are you doing for your business today to stand out from the crowd? To get some ideas on to be remarkable, build fans and get clients, see our article here.

What do you think? Would you like to see the shots cameramen could capture if that was allowed?
