Panasonic LX100 – Save $100

In the world of high-end compact cameras, there are really only three options worth mentioning right now: the Sony RX100 Series, Canon’s G7X, and Panasonic’s LX100. The LX100 is arguably one of the best out of the three options, and for the price, you really can’t go wrong.

If you have been thinking about grabbing yourself a new compact camera for your daily adventures or lightweight traveling, the LX100 would make an excellent choice. Right now, you can get it for $100 off over at B&H, here.

Panasonic FZ1000 – Save $100

High-end bridge cameras are becoming a popular market segment for consumers who are serious about their photography, but don’t want the hassle of dealing with multiple lenses. The Sony RX10 (and now the RX10 Mk II) pioneered what a high-end bridge camera could be, and Panasonic has since upped the game with their FZ1000.

Bringing the best of both stills and video performance, the FZ1000 gives you an all around package that is more camera than most people will ever need. If you are interested, these are also $100 off right now over on B&H here.

The day that Rokinon get round to putting AF in their lenses it will be Sigma/Tamron and Tokina who will be feeling the heat. A good quality 8mm for $180, its almost a joke. Except there is no joke at all, I have seen so many superb astro shots taken with their 14mm.

AF on a fisheye is kind of pointless. Just set the focus ring around 3ft and fire away.

Yes, I was thinking more of their 14mm and 24mm lenses. AF on a fisheye is indeed wasted.
