So how to do mix classic style with a little bit of rock ’n roll?
Hire the epic Benjamin Von Wong and then challenge him to shoot a full music video and music cover all in one afternoon.
The classical artists, Homzy/Kesler Duo, put their music video ‘Curiosity’ into Von Wong’s team’s capable hands, and took a trek into the wilderness. You may recognize Andrew Kesler from the $30,000 Nikon Symphony.
In the behind the scenes video below, Von Wong explains his lighting set-up used for the still images.
BTS | Curiosity – Shooting a Musical Duo with a Piano in the Woods
The scheduling for the day appears pretty intense, and for a portion, the crew is shooting both motion and still photography at the same time.
With the team bouncing back and forth between both projects, Von Wong learned a few lessons that he shares on his blog.
A few include the benefits of storyboards, shooting simultaneously, dividing crews based on task (stills versus video), and try to never schedule something like that in the first place.
