Pure Photography #4 – The Nikon “Df” Becomes Clearer, Official Announcement on Nov. 5th

By Anthony Thurston on October 29th 2013

Nikon released the 4th teaser for its upcoming camera tonight. In addition to more teasing we also got an official announcement date. According to the video on November 5th we will finally know what all this hub bub has been about.

I don’t know about you but I am certainly ready for the teasers to stop and the specs to being. That said, this latest video does give us a pretty good look at the general look/size of the camera. It looks tiny, and I am not sure I am a fan of the design.. but I will hold final judgement until I see some actual product shots (and not these crappy half visible ones).

Check out the latest teaser below:

As you can see this time around we actually got a pretty decent look at the basic shape of the camera. I have to say it looks very A7/OMD-ish if you ask me. But then again we really haven’t seen it yet.

How about that release date, November 5th. I wonder if they are going to go all V for Vendetta on us; Remember Remember the 5th of November and all that jazz, haha. If you need to catch up on the rumors for this camera check out our previous posts here.

the design and build quality look vastly superior to the Sony. The Sony has a very rushed-to-market looked about it, the Nikon looks very polished and well thought out.

I am more towards curiosity on the final product than any intention of buying it
but i also wondering how is the 50mm gonna looks different from the current 50mm 1.8G
