Tai Hsin Shiek is a self-taught photographer. He learned his art online, on the job and by attending workshops. After studying photography for almost 8 years, he says he still learns something new every day.

Tai started off his career as a software engineer, but after doing the 9-5 run for 10 years, he felt that his talents lay elsewhere, and the fact that he was a social butterfly made it difficult for him to connect with people while being stuck behind a desk. He discovered that his passion for meeting people and his ability to relate to them was the biggest strength of his new career. People are diverse in their needs and meeting their requirements can be challenging, but Tai, with his infectious sense of humour and strong photographic skills, has certainly proven his ability to deliver to his clients exactly what they desire.

He specializes in Portrait Photography for Musicians, Artistes, Corporates, etc. He works with leading hotels, shooting for their brochures and social media; in addition, he also captures Landscapes, Portraits and Wedding Photography. Tai also does vlogs to promote hotels and places of interest and his hobby is capturing breath-taking landscapes.

Tai lives by the belief that if a vital moment isn’t captured, it will be lost forever and this thought is seen in all of his photography. From his residence in Ratmalana, he ventures out into the exciting unknown with his trusty pro gear equipment, travelling as far as his work takes him, in pursuit of the perfect capture.
