Portraits of SEC Football Mascots

By Anthony Thurston on August 16th 2013

August is just over half way complete and all across the nation football teams are getting together to train for their upcoming seasons. Photographer  Jamie Chung had the brilliant idea to photograph the mascots of these SEC schools, or at least the ones with live animal mascots that is.

The series was commissioned by ESPN for use during the upcoming football season. These portraits are wonderful, its not every day that you see animals like these in studio shoots. I think that the shoot turned out great. Probably my favorite shot, though it pains me to say it as an Oregon Duck fan, is the shot featuring Auburn’s War Eagle. Really neat series, check it out below and make sure to check out more of Chung’s work on his website.

Trojans and Ducks, two of my favorite teams, even though they are in the same conference.
