Photos of Nokia’s 41-Megapixel Lumia 1020 Window Phone Are Out!

Within a few hours, Nokia will be holding a press event in New York to unveil the new Lumia 1020 and thanks to TheVerge, we now know how it looks in its three color offering. Just like the Lumia 808, this new phone will have a 41MP PureView camera. The big difference with this smartphone/camera hybrid is the operating system. This time, around the Lumia 1020 will be running the Windows Phone operating system.

Additionally, the phone will have an optional good size battery grip accessory which can see attached to the Lumia 1020 on the right and in the photos below from In addition to a 1020mAh battery and better grip, this battery grip will also have a two-stage camera shutter button and a tripod mount.The camera specs should perk the ears of photographers who are looking latest and greatest hybrid smartphone camera:

    All the fake photographers are going megapixel happy. It’ll just suck if the lenses aren’t sharper than the Nikon 14-24/2.8G or Sigma’s 24/1.4DG HSM. That and if their computers don’t have a crazy amount of RAM and processing power to look through the 38-39 MP sizes (although can browse in 5 MP format).

    Smaller pixel sizes means it won’t work too well in higher ISOs… I mean, does that oversampling feature really work?!

    What were they thinking? And is it confirmed to be CZ lenses?

    Who knows? Maybe it’s actually so good a camera that even after the phone is outdated, people might still use it as a camera. Not.
