Zack Seckler’s Chuckle Inducing ‘Humour’ Series

By Ruth Dunn on September 20th 2013

Zack Seckler is a New York based photographer who enjoys seeing the funny side of life. In his ‘Humour’ series he turns situations, locations and subjects into chuckle inducing images that are both clever and thought provoking.

‘Humour’ makes you laugh for a variety of reasons. Some images, like the child watching popcorn springing off a cob of corn, make you flash back to the funny little perceptions you had as a child while others, like a Giraffe’s neck and head peaking over the roof of a house like a chimney, are just plain surreal and quirky. Some photographs have a straight forward story while others leave room for a variety of meanings, ideas and perceptions to exist.

Seckler says:

“People view life through their own lens. I enjoy refocusing that lens and playing with our expectations of the world. By putting an uncommon twist on common experiences, I create images that inspire humor and imagination. With that, I hope to expand each person’s view -– for at least a moment.”

To see the whole series wander over to Seckler’s website. In the mean time enjoy a few photographs from the series below.
