Danielle Davies has my vote for best use of Instagram this week because when you post pictures of you hanging out with Bradley Cooper all the time, well, you win. Never mind that Bradley is a little flat, and it’s not because of poor lighting. Bradley Cooper, a Hollywood A-lister, star of numerous hit movies, now costars to the Instagram feed, My Life With Bradley Cooper…well, a cardboard cutout of him that is.
New Jersey mom, Danielle Davies met Bradley Cooper in college when they were in a play together. Since then, their two paths have diverged…until now that is. On a quest to “crack herself up,” Danielle take Cardboard Bradley everywhere she goes and and her friend, photographer Kiesha Bond documents every moment of it. “When I first unfold him, people are definitely looking at me like I’m crazy. I’m so grateful my friend, Kiesha comes with me everywhere so I don’t look like the only crazy person.”
Danielle has a website and Instagram account dedicated to her project, which is also being compiled into a book. “The photos are one part of a larger project to show how our lives continued to have these weird parallels, but are ultimately quite different. ”
The humorous Instagram account documents Danielle and Bradley doing every day tasks like jogging, grocery shopping, reading to the kids, even standing by (looking schnazzy in a tux) with Danielle’s husband Ed, who thinks the whole project is funny. And what does Bradley Cooper think about this project? Well, he doesn’t know about it…yet. Danielle is sure that between their mutual friends and friends of friends, word will eventually get to him.
Why? Well in her words,
Because, friends, this is America. So why not? The fact is, while most of us don’t actually live our lives with movie stars, many of us wish we did. And so, being a forward thinking American, I have taken the bull by the horns, the horse by the reigns, the cardboard cutout of Bradley Cooper by the shoulders, and just pretended that I do. This is the land of the free and the brave, where all things can happen. Especially if you make them happen. Who am I to buck the system? If I want a life with Bradley Cooper, well, then…I’ll just make one up.
