Taking a page from Nikon, Pentax announced not only the follow up to their popular flagship K-5 DSLR, but also a version that does not have an anti-aliasing filter built in. The K-5 II and the K-5 IIs both sport a 16.28MP APS-C format CMOS sensor and an improved 11 Point SAFOX X autofocus system that has a working range from -3 EV to 18 EV. And this being a Pentax, the K-5 II and IIs are fully weather-sealed, dust-proof, and cold-resistant. And just like the K-5, both II and IIs also have in-body shake reduction (SR) stabilization that should give you a couple of extra stops.
Other highlights include:
The Pentax K-5 II should be available in October 2012 for $1199.95 for body only, while the Pentax K-5 IIs should be available in October 2012 for $1299.95 for body only.
