New Sample Images from the Highly Anticipated Sigma 18-35 f1.8

By Anthony Thurston on June 5th 2013

We told you about the new Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 lens a while back, and there were even a few sample images made available by a Korean website a few days later. Just a refresher, this lens is the fastest zoom lens ever made, and will give you effectively the look of a 2.8zoom on a 35mm DSLR. Since that initial press news and details about this new sigma lens has been pretty scarce, until today that is.

DPreview has released an entire gallery with 30 images that were taken with the pre-production model of this lens. Now obviously that means that the final image results may not be representative of the final production model, for example it may be more prone to flare or AF inaccuracy. But the results even from this pre-production model are looking pretty good from where I am standing.

You can check out the full gallery over on DPreview by clicking this link.

What do you guys think? Are the images from this lens looking good? Not looking so good? Give us your thoughts in a comment below!
