Images of the very soon to be announced Panasonic G7 have leaked. The images are clearly meant for the gallery that usually accompanies a product page on an online store.
The design that you see is the silver edition, and it looks pretty slick. It should be a nice companion or secondary camera to the GH4 for people in the M4/3 ecosystem that have not already bought an Olympus E-M5 II.
The button layout on the top is pretty standard, with one special function key and movie record button surrounded by a mode dial, on/off switch, and control dials. I have no doubt that the body will function well enough. I am more interested in how the video quality is, since the primary use for this camera will be as a B camera to a GH4.
Tomorrow, we will get the official specs and pricing, but you can expect this to come in around the $700-$900 mark, making it a great alternative to the GH4 if you don’t need/want all the extra bells and whistles.
What are you expecting and looking forward to from the G7? Where do you think that it will slot into the market? How will it compare to the other expected announcements? Leave a comment below and let us know what you think!

I really how Panasonic is so serious about their 4/3 system, but i still dont get why their lenses have the worst exterior colors and none of the body colors match the lens colors. Cant they just make them black so it can go with everything? Its as if the body department has their monitor calibrated differently than the lens department.
