By Anthony Thurston on April 28th 2014

Well, happy Monday! To commemorate the worst day of the week, I have some good news for you all, Canon has some new lens and speedlite rebates that are now active. These new rebates will go from today until July 5th, and there are also some additional limited time instant savings available which expire on May 24th.

If you would like to check out what items are available in this latest round of rebates, you can check out the full listing over on B&H here. If you are interested in the best deals from the bunch, keep reading and I will share the items/deals that stood out to me.

The biggest rebates are not always the best deals, for example, $100 off of a $500 lens is a much better deal that $250 off a $2000 lens. So, with that in mind, here are a few of the rebates/instant savings that stood out to me:

Have you been over to the full listing? What rebates and instant savings deals stood out to you?

Definitely taking advantage of the 600EX RT instant savings of $50 to pick up additional units. When I picked up my first 600 back in Feb there was instant savings of $80, so it came in at $469. That was for a brand new item.

Also check out Canon’s refurb store; seems they are applying some instant savings to those items as well. Although last I checked, no refurb 600 speedlites in stock. Think they were hovering around $373.

If it wasn’t for acquiring extra flashes, I’d be seriously considering that 135 f/2

For anyone who has never shot with the 135 f/2L I highly recommend it. This lens is a portrait godsend if you have the space to shoot in. I use it for events and weddings on the dance floor to isolate people. With just a bit of flash you get bright beautiful subjects and the creamiest bokeh you could ever want.

I agree Rich, the 135 F/2 is one of my favorite Canon primes.
