New Workshop: Photographing Group Portraits!

National Geographic Offers Inspiration on Photography with Proof

By Anthony Thurston on October 16th 2013

Photographing for National Geographic is without a doubt one of the most prestigious jobs that a photographer can achieve. You get to travel the world, photograph unique and interesting subjects, and use the best gear and technology available.

Photography is a weapon against what is wrong out there…

In an effort to help inspire a new generation of photographers National Geographic has released this really inspiring video in which over 20 of their top photographers share their thoughts on photography and what it means to them. These are some of the people behind some of the most powerful images in the National Geographic archives, and if what they have to say in this video doesn’t inspire you to get out and shoot I am not sure what will!

You have to care… You cannot do superior work if you are indifferent.

There is more where this video came from too. National Geographic launched their Proof website about a month ago and will be releasing interviews with some of their photographers on the site. It should be a really interesting place to check in on here and there for some good photography related inspirational content.

What was your favorite quote from the video? Did anything else stand out to you? Let us know in a comment below.
