Mixing DLSR and Smartphone Video for a Unique Experience

By Jules Ebe on September 2nd 2013

Ever want to capture your video in a unique and creative way without lugging around a bunch of studio equipment? That is exactly what French independent filmmaker and graphic designer FKY has done. Combining images taken with his DSLR and iPhone, FKY has literally created a full video with Instagram and Hipstamatic with artistic flair. His goal was to make something completely different during his family’s summer vacation.

Well, this video has definitely succeeded with flying bold, and saturated colors.

This just goes to show that creating art with what you have is far more beneficial than excusing away why you are not doing work because you do not have time/equipment/inspiration. Look around you today, find the inspiration and start creating. You will be surprised how quickly your work will grow.

What is your favorite project (video or still) that goes beyond the norm in an imaginative way? We would love to hear about it.

Until Next Time . . .
