Me and My Pet | ‘Til Death Do Us Part

By Jules Ebe on July 13th 2013

Photographer Liselotte Habets has found an interesting way to commuicate the attachments we make in society with others – specifically our pets. After watching a documentary about an elderly couple that had stuffed their dead dog, she set out to create the series ‘Me & my pet’.

Telling a story with photography is my goal. I like humor infused into my pictures.

The 31 year-old studied photography at St Lukas in Brussels. She soon moved to Amsterdam shortly after graduation in 2007 to settle down and to build a network. Well, it would seem she found a few friends to settle down with while she was there.

What’s Next?

I am a great fan of Dutch photographers Erwin Olaf and Tim Walker. I like their stories. A new ‘storyline’ I am working on is called ‘Me & my family’.

Check out a sneak peek from the upcoming project:

So it would seem the dialogue continues in a little more lively way. My best hopes for the wiener dog.

Until Next Time . . .

Stay Inspired ~ Jules
