Major Deal Alert: BMPCC For Only $495 – a $500 Instant Savings!

By Anthony Thurston on July 16th 2014

I think someone over at B&H has lost their mind lately! First, it was those nutty deals on the 7D (find those here if you missed the post), and now the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera (BMPCC) is heavily discounted as well.

Right now, over on B&H, you can get your hands on the BMPCC for only $495 – that’s $500 off the normal selling price of $995. If you are interested you can find the deal here.

  • Super 16mm Sized Image Sensor
  • Active Micro Four Thirds Lens Mount
  • 13 Stops of Dynamic Range
  • Records Full HD 1920×1080 CinemaDNG RAW
  • Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) at 220 Mbps
  • Portable Design (5″ Long and 12.5 oz)
  • 3.5″ LCD Display with 800×480 Resolution
  • Uses SDXC and SDHC Memory Cards
  • EN-EL20 Compatible Rechargeable Battery
  • HDMI, LANC, 3.5mm Audio Input and Output

The BMPCC is a professional tool for getting high quality HD footage RAW or ProRes. It is known for its stellar video quality and small light weight size. It was already one of the most affordable cameras on the market with RAW HD recording capability, and now, at the discounted price of $495, it is an even bigger steal.

Jump on over to B&H now to get your order in, who knows how long supplies will last at this price.

This is a tough one. With all those rumors about the 7D MkII floating around, it might be hard for me to pull the trigger on a BMPCC. But it’s such a good deal.

Killer deal, but the 7D is definitely more tempting. MUST RESIST.

I’ll pass on this one, although a great deal. I spent all my extra money getting the 7D. Supposed to be here today. I use Nikon for stills, but I’m breaking into DSLR video, so now I’m a Canon AND a Nikon user. There’s goes all my extra cash. But, there’s a smile on my face. :)

Anthony, my Canon 7D is in, along with my Rokinon 35mm T1.5 cine lens – and I love it. Thanks for the heads up. I probably would have never known if you hadn’t written the article – and I was wanting a Canon starter camera for video. A third off for that camera is awesome.
