How to Import Images to a Catalog Quicker in Lightroom 4

The Lightroom Catalog system is one of the best features of Adobe Lightroom. It allows you to organize your images, cull quickly, assign keywords and metadata, and much more. There are also several different ways to import your images into the Catalog. In this tutorial video, we will show you how to create a New Catalog and import your images quicker by using the “Import to this Folder” function.

The way to access this is to right-click on a folder while in Library Module and select “Import to this Folder” from the context menu. When the Import dialog pops up, that folder is already pre-selected as the Destination folder so you do not have to manually find the folder again.
