Khora Image Prints Turn Any Photo Into 3D Art

By Jules Ebe on November 18th 2013

What happens when you combine a few digital designers and a home decorator? In the case of Khora Image – you get a new app that turns your everyday photos into printed 3D works of art.

Simply upload your image on their app, choose your color, size, and resolution (more realistic or abstract) and they will provide you with a custom work of art for your wall (or for your client). According to the website, the final design is made using a CNC machine. This computer controlled machine accurately carves your design into a piece of 100% recycled material.

Whether you purchase for yourself, your studio, or for your clients, the Khora Image definitely adds a little variety for your more artistic clients and friends. Similar to lenticular printing, a process that utilizes lenticular lenses to create two different photos on the same surface using molded screens (often made of plastic), the 3D effect of this product will likely appeal to the senses of more modern or contemporary looks.
