The Ultimate 2-Day Wedding Workshop
The Lin and Jirsa Photography Team shoots over 200 weddings a year. By using virtually every lighting, posing and shooting tool available to us, we have created a unique photographic style and look that has become a part of the Lin and Jirsa brand. We will be teaching students all of these lighting, posing and shooting techniques to help you in creating your own amazing and unique images regardless of the shooting situation.
We are also going to walk through several components of the wedding day. From capturing bridal and groom preparation portraits, to shooting wedding venue and details, to techniques on how to light and capture wedding party and family formals, to how we light for awesome dance floor shots!
Learn Posing for Wedding Photography
We will be instructing students on our Foundation Posing techniques that will enable you as a photographer to communicate posing instructions and always have posing ideas at the ready on any shoot, for any couple. [Sign Up for the Workshop Here!]
Learn Wedding Photography Lighting
For lighting, over the years we have developed a mobile and affordable toolkit of lighting accessories that allows us to create virtually any type of look or effect in any scene.
From natural light photography utilizing reflectors and scrims, to off-camera pocket strobes to create dynamic portraits, to small constant lights to create moody and atmospheric portraits. All of which fits into a single easily portable lighting bag that is used on each shoot. [Sign Up for the Workshop Here!]

Itinerary for the Wedding Photography Workshop
The workshop will be a 2 day intensive, and when I say intense, I mean intense! Due to the amount of information we will be covering, students should come prepared to work as each workshop day will start at 8am and will last at least 10-12 hours if not more.
Here is the breakdown of the itinerary (subject to refinement/change):
- Day 1 will be focusing on lighting and capturing techniques for couples portraiture, or the engagement session. We are going to be covering shooting techniques, posing, natural light modification, and advanced lighting/shooting techniques for couples portraiture.
- Day 2 will be focused on lighting and capturing techniques for the actual wedding day. We will be walking through specific elements of the wedding day to show you lighting and capture techniques. If time permits, we would also like to take students back to the hotel for a bit of post production instruction, however our main focus for this 2 day intensive is shooting!
Who is this workshop for?
So, who is this class for? Well, this class is for anyone that wishes to simply take better portraits. Whether you want to be a professional, or simply take better portraits in general, this class will give you the knowledge and tools to take your craft to a completely new level.
Because of the sheer volume of information that we will be covering including in-camera capture techniques, we do recommend that students at least have a basic understanding of exposure and how to use their camera in Manual Mode as we will not be covering camera basics.
