Because Every Power Couple’s Save-the-Date Video Should Have a Helicopter

By Hanssie on April 10th 2014

Move over Kim and Kanye.

Janice and Bambo are upstaging your boring wedding with their save-the-date video. None of those plain ol’ save the date postcards for these two, take note Kimye, real ballers produce their own movie trailers, complete with a helicopter, fast cars and Bollywood dancers. Honestly, I was really thinking that Jay-Z or Jay Gatsby was going to make a cameo at any second…

This power couple from San Francisco are both lawyers and they want to invite you to their “Boss Wedding.” (No, really). Bambo Obaro and Janice Jentz’s wedding website is called bosswedding.com. Because what else could it be called?

Getting married this July, their just shy of two minutes save-the-date video was produced by Major Diamond Productions. The video, which I can only describe as ostentatious, begins with Janice applying pink lip gloss, tightening a corset dress and strapping on sparkly stilettos next to a fluffy white lap dog. Making his grand entrance, Bambo, suited up in a tux, diamond stud earrings and sunglasses, of course, perches in an helicopter flying over the city. The video swiftly moves to a nightclub, with the aforementioned Bollywood dancers, smoke machines and Bambo on bended knee in front of Janice. Wait…what just happened??!

I really want to see what the wedding’s going to be like. Champagne toasts and caviar dreams, no doubt.

Take a look for yourself and let me know your thoughts in the comment section below. Just FYI, they rated it PG-13.

This also begs the question, what will their future baby announcements look like?

Nice production value. Good cinematography. Unfortunately, there was no story telling nor character development nor really much of anything interesting going on other than a few pretty scenes here and there. Strip away the excess and it was actually pointless.

LOVE the idea, the dress, the drama, the cinematography… I know this is suppose to be portrayed as over-the-top posh, however I can’t fathom why these seemingly sane bollywood dancers would sign-up to go clubbing in desi-attire?!?! Did I miss something? When did this become “normal” extravagant behavior?? Ya, last I checked, we indian folk, didn’t fly like that… just saying’ :)

There were some elements of the video I liked (cinematography wise) but more that I didn’t (probably the couples requests). I can’t get over that big font they chose for titles. I feel like the video was more about what they can do than about their wedding. Everyone has their own taste though…definitely not mine.
