Imminent Release of Capture One Pro 7!

By fotosiamo on October 24th 2012

Earlier today, DPReview accidentally leaked a brief description of the hotly anticipated Capture One Pro 7, along with the image below.

Here is what was said on the RSS feed in regards to Capture One Pro 7:

Phase One has announced Capture One Pro 7, the latest version of its image processing and workflow tool. The latest version is based around an entirely new image processing engine and gains digital asset management tools, developed from the company’s experience with its Media Pro software. The software’s tethered shooting option now gains live view for some DSLR models. The software will cost $299/€229 with significant discounts for upgraders from previous versions.”

I’m a big fan of Capture One, especially when it comes to tethering. You can process so much faster than Lightroom 4. I do use both software, but I’m especially excited to see how much faster/better this new image processing engine is going to be, and which DSLRs will have Live View capability.

If you go to Capture One’s website right now, this is the image that you will see.

Stay tuned for more news!

Readers, what features do you hope will make it to C1Pro7?
