(The Lightroom video tutorial in this post is just under the introductory text below)
In the last video we covered how to create a text watermark. So, in this video we are going to move on and show you not only how to create a graphical watermark, but also how to make a proportional graphic watermark that will stay the same size, and in the same location regarding of whether the image is a landscape, or portrait orientation image.
One caveat that I forgot to mention in the video is that you do want to make sure that your stamp graphics either match or exceed the resolution of the final exported image size. If the graphic stamps you are using are too small, then the final stamp on the image will look pixelated and blurry.
If you wish to use the same stamp working files that we did in the video, you can download them by clicking here.

Pi – I know this vid is older and you guys have moved on to LR4, but I’m going through the LR3 series right now and I thought you’d like to know this video does not show up on the series index page. In Section 5 – “Customizing Lightroom”, where this video should be listed, you instead have “Ten Tips to Improve the Speed and Performance of LR”. At the end of the preceding video you mention that the next video in the series would explain graphical watermarks. I put that title into Google; that’s how I found this one.
Thanks for the amazing resources!
Hi, thanks for the tutorial. I have an issue with blurry watermarks. I have export settings dialled in for Flickr (1024x815px) and my watermark is a transparent .png of 953x225px. In my watermarks editor I’m using 100% opacity, proportional at 10% and insets of 2. My exported images have pixelated/blurry watermarks. Could it be that I’m scaling them down too much? Any ideas?
Many thanks,
Gordon
