How to Color Correct Environmental Portraits in Lightroom 3

Now we are going to move onto color correcting environmental portraits. You will notice that environmental portraits are much more forgiving when it comes to artistic leeway when compared to standard portraits.

With standard portraits, really nailing the skin tones, clearing up unflattering skin detail and smoothing out highlights is key. However, with environmental portraits, there is much more room to tweak and play since the shots are much wider with much smaller subjects.

In this Lightroom video tutorial, we are going to color correct 4 example environmental portraits. In this tutorial, we are going to focus on displaying an accurate color representation of each scene. In later tutorials, we will revisit these images and work on doing artistic corrections.
