By Anthony Thurston on July 18th 2015

We are back today with some great deals on some bags, a tripod/bag combo, and a great internal/external USB card reader to speed up your workflow.

Manfrotto BeFree Compact Travel Carbon Fiber Tripod

Let’s face it, everyone could use a good solid tripod now and then. The problem is there are so many options out there, which do you choose? Manfrotto makes some of the best around, and their BeFree compact travel tripod is no exception.

This B&H Kit includes a BeFree Compact Travel Carbon Fiber Tripod and an Advanced Travel Backpack, both from Manfrotto. This combination is ideal for the traveling photographer, as the tripod is compact and lightweight, and the backpack can safely transport your camera gear and tripod.

You can grab one today for just $369 after a full $100 in savings. If you are interested, head on over to the B&H product page here.

Atech Pro-37U 3.5″ USB 3.0 Internal Reader/Writer

card-reader

Getting your images off your card and into your processing machine can be one of the most tedious processes that we have to go through as photographers. The annoyance of having to wait, sometimes a very long time, is wasted time.

A USB 3 card reader can be a great tool in speeding up that import process, and this Atech Pro USB reader is a killer option. What sets it apart from your average reader is that it is also large enough that you can install it inside your case (if you have an extra 3.5″ bay available), and it will be loads faster than your current reader (most internal card readers are USB 2, so this being USB 3 is a huge plus). But it is also able to be used externally, so you can really use this reader however you prefer.

If you are interested, you can save $15 and grab one today for just $34.95 over on B&H.

Lowepro Photo Sport Sling 100 AW

lowepro-sport

Who doesn’t need a good backpack for your day trips? Be it a trip to downtown, or a hike in the woods, Lowepro makes some of the best all-around bags. This Sport Sling 100 AW is the perfect solution for you active photographers looking for a lightweight solution to carry your kit.

At 1.7 lb (0.8kg), this pack is for someone who likes to travel fast and light. It is made from rip stop nylon and supported by an adjustable and comfortable shoulder strap. Other features of the Photo Sport Sling 100 AW include reflective piping that will allow you to be seen in lower light conditions, a comfortable molded airflow back pad and multiple attachment points for optional accessories. Lowepro’s built-in rain fly is another bonus that provides protection to the entire bag when you’re caught in rain or snow.

Normally $99, not a bad deal on its own, this bag is currently on sale for just $59.95 over on B&H! That is a cool $40 savings on a killer bag. Grab one here today.

Lowepro Rover Pro 45L AW

Here is a bag option for those of you needing more than a small day bag, or have to carry more kit than a smaller bag like the bag above can handle. This is the Lowepro Rover Pro 45L AW and it’s perfect for you.

The Rover will hold your pro DSLR with grip and attached 24-70mm f/2.8, 3-4 extra lenses or flash plus a tripod or monopod. It can also store up to a 15″ laptop. It even has room for your sleeping pad, small tent, ice ax or trekking poles plus additional personal items. This is a great option for you outdoor/wilderness photographers who also need to pack sleeping bags and camping gear.

This is also the best deal of the day, normally selling for $329, you can get it today for $179, which is a full $150 in savings. Grab one here if you are interested.

Whoa, three or four lenses plus ice ax! Where are we going? Might need rope, good cold weather gear. And where does the food go? The oxygen tanks? If I’m hanging off a big chunk of ice, I’m thinking, leave the big gear home and attach a Gopro to my helmet.

LowePro makes great bags. I have a Magnum 35 from the 80’s that I still use.

I’ve got a bunch of Lowepro bags, and they’re all top notch. My go-to these days is the Stealth Reporter series…. I have a larger model for my Canon system, a smaller one for my Olympus system. I recently got a small belt-pack bag from them as well, which is handy for smaller outings. And my video gear has been in a Lowepro backpack for over a decade.
