Season 4 of Game of Thrones kicks off tonight, and if you are a fan of the show (who isn’t?), you are probably currently in the middle of rewatching Season 3 in preparation for tonight’s season premiere.
If you are like me, you also can’t get enough of the behind the scenes content. It is so interesting to me to see how what goes into creating such an amazing show from a production standpoint. This will be interesting to any GoT fans, but especially to you filmmakers out there.
Obviously this is a high budget, full featured production, using top of the line gear. But there is still much to learn from the sorts of things they are doing to create these shots. The above video is just one of many preseason featurettes about the production of the show that I find really interesting.
I think that it will be particularly interesting to see how it all unfolds this season. It actually inspired me to look into some ways that I can get my Game of Thrones on without a huge production budget and I came across this great GoT portrait tutorial over on the 500px blog.
And if you still can’t get enough, check out our BTS coverage of Benjamin Von Wong’s GoT’s Fan Shoot and behind the scenes from Annie Leibovitz’s Vanity Fair Game of Thrones cover shoot.
