#HDR (High Dynamic Range) Photography
HDR is an acronym for high dynamic range. The human eye can perceive much more dynamic range - the visible tones ranging from very dark to very bright - than a camera, but post processing techniques can increase the visible range of tones to produce HDR images. HDR is named for its ability to create a photograph with dynamic range that more closely resembles what the eye can see by blending multiple exposures, or blending multiple edits of a single RAW that's been processed to enhance highlight and shadow detail. Some techniques are heavy-handed and have cartoonish results, but others are more natural looking. HDR photography is used frequently in landscape and real estate/architecture photography.
