Globe-Trotter & Fujifilm Team Up on Luxury $14,000 X-T1 Kit

By Anthony Thurston on December 25th 2014

Did you hit the big time this Christmas morning? Maybe you have been eyeing the Fuji X-T1 from afar? Well, Globe-Trotter and Fujifilm have teamed up for a 10 run limited edition X-T1 kit and it could be yours for just $14,000!

Joking aside, the Fuji kit you get is pretty sweet, and the Globe-Trotter case and day bag are pretty epic if you are into old timey styles. An added bonus to the whole kit is an engraved iPad Air 2 to go along with it.

I am actually pretty envious of anyone who gets their hands on one of these. I just picked up my X-T1 a few weeks ago, and I have been loving the Fuji-system in combination with my old vintage lens collection. As much as I love my vintage manual focus lenses, I would still love to get my hands on a complete Fuji lens kit.

$14,000 and they give you an iPad 2? Can’t even give you one with the retina display.

I must be missing something because I just added up the Fuji X-T1 kit (camera and all mentioned lenses) with the ipad air 2 and the total for all that came to just under $5000.00. That means the “special” case and bag are worth $9000? I don’t envy the person who buys this kit at all. I’d rather use that 9 grand on lenses or other equipment. I’m definitely not sold.
