The Music Bed Teams with Charity: Water to Give Water for the Holidays

By Hanssie on December 10th 2013

It makes up about 70% of the Earth’s surface. It’s the stuff that we take for granted. The stuff we pay anywhere from $1 to $5 and it comes in a plastic bottle. The stuff we let run for a while so that it’s the perfect temperature before we step in the shower. Yet, about 1 billion (Yes, that’s BILLION, with a B) people in this world do not have clean water to drink. And “about every 19 seconds, a mother loses one of her children to a water related illness,” according to Charity: Water.

When we need water, we walk the few steps to the sink, turn on the faucet and take what we need. When someone in Africa wants water, usually a woman or child will walk many miles to an unprotected and likely contaminated source, and then carry the water back.

This holiday season, our friends, The Music Bed have teamed up with Charity: Water to provide clean water for the the people in Cambodia. In return for your donation, you’ll get to download the Holiday Music Sampler from The Music Bed. It’s a win-win. There will be 65 families in Cambodia with clean, safe water and you’ll get some holiday music to enjoy and the satisfaction of knowing that you helped someone less fortunate.

The Music Bed is hoping to raise $6,500 to give 65 families in Cambodia water filters so that they can have clean drinking water on a daily basis. 100% of the money raise will go to fund clean water for a family in need.
