Fuji’s New Graphite Silver X-T1 Isn’t Just for Show, It Does Include Some Updates
In addition to Fuji‘s other notable announcements from today, Fujifilm also announce a new special Graphite Silver version of the X-T1. The new body comes in at $1,499, a two hundred dollar premium over the basic black X-T1.
That said, this new graphite silver special edition is not just for show, the new edition also incorporates some nice new updates including that new electronic shutter function in the new X100T, which gives the camera 1/32,000 shutter speed capabilities. Additionally, the viewfinder comes with a new “Natural” live view setting which was developed to mimic an optical viewfinder by ignoring camera settings and image preview functions.

Overall though, the new graphite silver X-T1 is your average price hiked special edition. A nice conversation piece, at least Fuji actually added some new tidbits to the camera – many manufacturers (I’m looking at you Olympus and Pentax) just give us a new style and call it good.
If you are interested in grabbing one of the new graphite silver X-T1 bodies you can pre-order them now over on B&H for $1,499.
Graphite release and firmware update … This looks very interesting. http://www.mirrorlessrumors.com/list-of-features-coming-with-the-new-fuji-x-t1-firmware-update-in-december
These cameras are very tempting.
As a strobe shooter, I would love to have a faster easier way to turn off exposure simulation, which is what this sounds like. I hope they roll an update out to current cameras. Any idea if they plan to?
There was a rumor of a new firmware update, which I would assume would bring these updates. But no official word on that as of yet.
Pay extra for a pseudo-optical viewfinder mode . . .how cute :)
People will still buy it if they have money :/
